Thomas Kilroy

Thomas Kilroy ( born September 23, 1934 in Callan, County Kilkenny) is an Irish playwright and writer.

Life

After completing a university course at University College Dublin Kilroy worked as a director at the Abbey Theatre. He co-founded the theater company Field Day. Later, he taught English as a professor at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Since 1989, he has focused mainly on writing. He currently lives in Mayo in the West of Ireland.
