Thomas Kläsener

Thomas Kläsener ( born August 14, 1976 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German football player.

Life

Kläseners career began in 1984 in the youth at Resse 08 About the Erler SV, where he played between 1990 and 1996, his path led to the second team of FC Schalke 04, where he was active intermittently the following ten years. But Kläsener also belonged partly to the extended squad of professional team. In the 2000 /01 season he was loaned to the SG Wattenscheid 09. 2003 brought him Jupp Heynckes back into the first team of FC Schalke 04. In summer 2006, he moved to Rot-Weiss Essen, 2007/ 08 he played for SC Paderborn 07, where he was vice-captain of the team. After the descent of the SC Paderborn 07 from the 2nd Bundesliga in May 2008 Thomas Kläsener signed a one year contract at second division FC Augsburg.

For the season 2009/10 he moved to RB Leipzig, where in the first year he celebrated the same promotion to the Regionalliga Nord. His contract ended on 30 June 2011, it was not renewed. Thereupon Kläsener joined the SSV Markranstadt with which he rose in the 2011/12 season as champions of division axes in the Oberliga Nordost.

In total, he completed 32 games ( 1 goal) in the first Premier League and 63 games ( 2 goals) in the 2nd Bundesliga.
