Thomas Perry (author)

Thomas Perry ( born 1947 in Tonawanda, Erie County, New York) is an American crime writer, screenwriter and producer.

Life

Perry attended Cornell University in Ithaca and graduated in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts from his studies. The Ph.D. he obtained in 1974 at the University of Rochester by a doctorate in English literature. Lancer very diverse Perry worked in the following period as a factory worker, maintenance man, Fischer, armourer, teachers and for television as a screenwriter and producer.

1982 The Butcher 's Boy (German Settlement in Las Vegas ) he achieved a great success as an author, in the following year accepted by the Mystery Writers of America with the Edgar Award for best first novel. Other awards followed, and many of his works are in German translation. Thomas Perry now lives with his wife and two daughters in Southern California.
