Thomas Springel

Thomas Springel ( born May 15, 1959 in Aachen ) is a former German handball player who in 1984 won the Olympic silver medal.

The 1.94 meter tall left-hander began his career at Black-Red Aachen and then moved to TuS Derschlag in the Handball - Bundesliga. After the descent with Derschlag be joined Springel 1979 TUSEM food.

Thomas Springel played in a total of 78 international matches in the German national team. Here, the back player scored 101 goals. On January 4, 1980, he was in Hamburg against China his international debut. In the Handball World Cup 1982, he finished with the German team to seventh place.
