Thomas W. Sneddon, Jr.

Thomas W. "Tom" Sneddon, Jr. ( b. 1941 in Los Angeles ) is an American lawyer and was the District Attorney of Santa Barbara.

Sneddon graduated in 1963, Notre Dame University and a bachelor's degree awarded after further studies at the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in law. In the years 1967-1969 he served in the United States Army. He began his legal work in 1969 with the prosecutor of Santa Barbara. In 1983 he was first elected to the District Attorney ( District attorney ) and until 2007 was in office.

Among the most high-profile processes Sneddon among the processes in which he represented the case against Michael Jackson. On June 16, 1995 Sony Music released Michael Jackson double album HIStory - Past, Present and Future Book I, Michael Jackson processed in some songs the scandal of 1993 published on the double album entitled " DS" stands for Dom Sheldon. where Michael Jackson clearly audible " Tom Sneddon " and not Dom Sheldon is singing. The song is a settlement with the prosecutor, who, one each against Jackson resulted in both 1993 and 2003 to 2005. Michael Jackson was in these two highly regarded and acquitted by the media commented theatrical and staged procedures of all charges.

Sneddon is married and has nine children and six grandchildren.
