Thoraya Obaid

Soraya ( Thoraya ) Obaid, is a sub- Secretary General of the United Nations and the Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund.

Obaid is from Saudi Arabia and holds the position of Executive Director since 1 January 2001. She is the first person with Saudi citizenship, which holds a leadership position in an organ of the United Nations.
