The Wayne State University is a state university in Detroit in the U.S. state of Michigan. With 33 137 students it is the third largest university in Michigan. To the university includes the third largest medical faculty of the United States.
History
The Wayne State University was founded in 1868 as the Detroit Medical College. With the merger of various colleges in 1934, it received its present name.
