Thorsten Schlumberger

Thorsten Schlumberger ( born October 29, 1960 in Hamburg ) is a former German football player. The striker and midfielder made ​​his debut in 1979 in the Bundesliga.

His first footballing experience from Schlumberger in the youth teams of Hamburger SV. Kuno Klötzer brought the talented footballer in 1979 to Berlin at Hertha BSC. In the season 1980/81 he moved to local rivals Tennis Borussia, because he did not understand the coach Uwe Klimaschefski.

After he was changed in the 1985/86 season again to Hertha BSC, he was injured twice and then fell about five months. From the following season, he played five seasons with Blue-White 90 Berlin, his playing time there ended with the withdrawal of licenses of the association. During the season, he was sixth- best scorer in the Bundesliga 2.

After that, he gained the BSV Brandenburg, at FSV Velten and the SV Wilhelmshaven, where a serious knee injury ended his career.

In the 1995/96 season Schlumberger served as assistant coach of Heikko Glöde for youth teams of Hertha.

In his 228 Bundesliga and second division games, he scored 65 goals.
