The originating from the early days of car bodies in 1953 replaced by those made of aluminum. In 1967, the electric drive was renewed.

On 2 July 2005, the fully restored railway to be taken to the new panorama cars back into service. The two cars run now without a staff, it is now necessary only in the stations. The clock is now only 20 minutes compared to the past 30 minutes.

The base station is served by bus line 21 of the transport companies STI, which in turn replaced the trains running 1952-1982 trolleybus Thun- Beatenbucht.
