Thuy Trang

Thuy Trang ( Vietnamese: Thuy Trang, born December 14, 1973 in South Vietnam; † 3 September 2001 in San Francisco, California ) was a Vietnamese - American actress.

Life

Her father was in the army of the Republic of Vietnam. He asked for asylum in the U.S. after his path was cut back to his family. In the U.S., he strove to bring his family to the United States. Finally, in 1975, the family had with the seriously ill Thuy to Hong Kong to escape. After one year, the application for asylum for his family was granted. At age nine, Thuy Kung Fu began after graduating from Banning High School, she received a scholarship for civil engineering to occur in the footsteps of her father.

However, she was discovered by a talent scout and thus got some appearances in commercials. In 1993, she landed the role of Trini Kwan in the series Power Rangers, that should have been occupied different. In the second Mighty morphine season she left along with Austin St. John and Walter Emanuel Jones the show. Karan Ashley then took over the role as Aisha, the Yellow Ranger. After that she had several small roles in the films The Crow - Revenge of the Crow, Spy Hard, CyberStrike ( never produced ) and a video appearance in The Encyclopedia of Martial Arts.

On 3 September 2001, Thuy Trang died from her injuries in a car accident. She was a bridesmaid for her friend Angela Rockwood - Nguyen, who survived as only the accident. The car flipped over several times and Rockwood - Nguyen was there thrown from the car, just as it had no strap around Trang. Trang was Buried in a Buddhist ceremony on 10 September, where their former Power Ranger colleagues were present. The episode " loss of confidence " from Power Rangers Time Force was dedicated to her.
