Tianjin Seagull Watch Group Co. Ltd.. (Chinese天津 中 鸥 表 业 集团 有限公司) is a Chinese company and the world's largest producer of mechanical movements with a production volume of 3.7 million calibers (2010) and a major company for precision mechanics in China.

History

The company was founded in 1955 as the Tianjin Watch Factory and originally specialized in the repair of mechanical movements. In addition, it produced in small series watches are sold under the brand name Wuxing (1955-1958) and later WuYi (1958-1966) were driven out. The breakthrough came in 1961 with the mission of the Chinese Air Force to build a chronograph. In 1966, the watches under the name Dong Feng ( East Wind ) were expelled.

In 1974 the brand name was changed for the watch from its own production in Sea - Gull and export business activities. However, the success came only after the quartz crisis, when the end of the 1980s, the demand for mechanical movements again began to rise. Products

Tianjin Seagull is considered watchmaker and manufactures all components of their watches, with the exception of the raw materials itself In 2006, the first double tourbillon was composed of two different mounted flying tourbillons introduced.
