Tiberius Sempronius Gracchus was a Roman politician and military leader in the middle of the 3rd century BC

Tiberius Sempronius Gracchus proposed a usual career in office of the Roman Republic. As aedile, he condemned 246 BC Claudia, daughter of Appius Claudius Caecus to a heavy fine. With the help of this money, a large part of the newly built ( Jupiter ) Libertas temple on the Aventine was paid. 238 he was consul and fought in this office against the Ligurians and later in Sardinia and Corsica, where he conquered Aleria among others.
