Tibor Weißenborn

Tibor Weissenborn ( born March 20, 1981 in Berlin ) is a German hockey player. He was with the German national team ever 2 times world and European champion and 2008 Olympic gold medalist.

Life

Tibor Weissenborn went to the same kindergarten as Florian Keller. When his father Carsten Keller, a children's team built, Weissenborn was there. At the Berlin HC played Weissenborn until 2004, then moved to Gladbach HTC and from there to Bloemendaaler HC, with the white Born in 2006 and 2007, Dutch national champion. He currently plays for Rot-Weiss Cologne, with which he ascended to the first division in 2008.

1998 debuted the midfielder in the German national hockey team. As early as 1999 Weissenborn was for the first time European champions. In Sydney at the Olympic Games Weissenborn came in fifth with the German team. In 2001 he was involved in winning the Champions Trophy. Weissenborn was part of the winning team at the 2002 World Cup in Kuala Lumpur. In 2003 he was European champion again. At the 2004 Olympics he won the bronze medal. 2006 White Born was there when the German team successfully defended the title in 2002 at the World Championships in Mönchengladbach. In 2007 he won for the second time at the Champions Trophy. After being in the Olympics with the German national team after a 1-0 success in the final against Spain won the gold medal in Beijing in 2008, he ended his career in the national selection.

Tibor Weissenborn has completed 324 international matches, including 17 in the hall.

In 2009 he married the hockey player Kerstin Hoyer.
