Ticonderoga (steamboat)

The Ticonderoga is a side wheel steamer which traveled from 1906 to 1953 on Lake Champlain. In line application for the Champlain Transportation Company passengers were carried and transported goods. In the last few years of operation, Ticonderoga served as a pleasure boat.

After decommissioning in 1953, the ship was not scrapped, but purchased by Electra Havemeyer Webb as part of the foundation of the Shelburne Museum. The overland transportation in 1955, since 1964 the Ticonderoga is run as the last remaining side wheel steamer with beam engine as a National Historic Landmark.
