Tiefwarensee

The Tiefwarensee is located on the northeastern outskirts of Waren (Müritz) in the district of Mecklenburg Lake District Mecklenburg. From the south-west lying Binnenmüritz the lake separates a 300 -meter-wide land bridge. The lake is a glacial Rinnensee, nestled in a glacial meltwater channel formed that extends from the north to the Müritz. He has a pronounced bay in the south. It is about 2600 meters long and 780 meters wide. On the south shore of the lake is the Warener city center. This makes the lake as a recreational area for goods a central role. So there is a canoe and boat rentals on the lake and fishing is permitted. The Tiefwarensee part of the conservation area Torgelower lake, its northeastern shore is part of the nature reserve east bank of deep Goods - Falk Haeger break.
