Tierno Monénembo

Tierno Monénembo (* 1947 in Guinea) is an African chemist and author who lives in France.

Reception

The first novel that has been translated into German by the author, was written in 1993, "Payment in Abidjan ". Here Monénembo focuses on student life in the capital of Ivory Coast at the beginning of the 70s, rather, the exile situation of Guinean students who have broken away from their home country because of the extreme political situation and the bustling metropolis - between locals and migrant workers from Burkina Faso, Nigerian traders and crafts people from Mali - uprooted face.
