Tim Kang

Tim Kang ( born March 16, 1973 as Yila Timothy Kang in San Francisco, California) is an American actor of Korean descent and was mainly known for the role of Kimball Cho in the television series The Mentalist.

Life

Tim Kang was born as the eldest of three sons and grew up in San Francisco. At UC Berkeley, he earned his bachelor of arts degree in political science. Then Kang earned his Master of Fine Arts degree from Harvard University. He then studied acting in Russia at the Moscow Art Theatre School. Kang occurred mainly in supporting roles in films and television series, in 2008 he had a bigger role in the fourth Rambo movie.

Since 2008, Kang plays a starring role in the CBS series The Mentalist.

Kang has a daughter (* 2009) and lives in Los Angeles.
