Tim Minear

Tim Minear ( born October 29, 1963 in New York) is an American screenwriter and television director.

Minear was born in New York and grew up in Whittier, California. He studied film at California State University, Long Beach.

Minear was assistant director for the film Platoon, and wrote episodes for several television series, including for The X-Files - The Files and Superman - Lois & Clark. He later became an executive producer, wrote screenplays and has directed episodes of Strange World, Angel - Hunters of darkness, Firefly - The Rise Of Serenity, Wonderfalls and The Inside, the series he created together with Howard Gordon.

Minear developed his own series, Drive, but this was discontinued in 2007 at Fox after only four episodes.
