Tim Sebastian

Tim Sebastian (* March 13, 1952 in London ) is an English television journalist.

Life

Sebastian studied both at the Universities of Oxford and Cardiff, before he began his career as a journalist for Reuters in 1974. He worked in several countries as a foreign correspondent for the BBC. 1979 in Warsaw, in Moscow in 1985 and 1986 to 1989 in Washington, DC. 1982 Sebastian Europe correspondent for the BBC. In the same year he won the BAFTA Award.

He presented the BBC program HARDtalk. In the years 2000 and 2001, he was honored as a Royal Television Society Interviewer of the Year.

He currently presents the BBC broadcast Doha Debates.

Sebastian is the author of several books and speaks English, German and Russian.
