Timothy Cherigat

Timothy Cherigat (born 29 December 1976) is a Kenyan marathon runner.

In 2002, he ran the San Sebastian Marathon with 2:09:34, the date (as of November 2009) fastest time on Spanish soil.

In 2003 he finished fourth in the Boston Marathon, and a year later he won this race at temperatures above 30 ° C in 2:10:37. At the New York Marathon in 2004, he finished in third place.

Cherigat is corporal of the Kenyan Navy. In his hometown Chepkorio in Eldoret, he has built a gas station.
