Timur Taymazov

Tymur Tajmasow (Ukrainian Тимур Таймазов, Russian Тимур Борисович Таймазов / Timur Borisovich Taimasow; born September 8, 1970 in Nogir, Nordossetische ASSR, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union ) is a former Ukrainian weightlifter Russian- Ossetian origin.

Sporting career

Tajmasow occurred in 1992 at the Olympics in Barcelona under the flag of the United team in the class up to 100 kg and won silver with a duel capacity of 402.5 kg.

With the introduction of the new weight classes 1993 Tajmasow joined the class to 108 kg, and won the European Championship this year with 427.5 kg in single combat against Ronny Weller at 420 kg. Tajmasow the now launched for Ukraine also won silver in the snatch and bronze in bumping. Also at the World Cup in the same year he was his favorite role to meet and won gold in the duel against Stefan Botev, who started for Australia, and in the snatch, as well as bronze in the thrusting. For EM 1994 Sokolov Tajmasow increased its power to 430 kg and 195 kg in the snatch consisting of and 235 kg in the pushing, and so won three gold medals.
