Tina Engel

Tina Engel ( born April 6, 1950 in Hanover ) is a German actress.

She attended from 1967 to 1970, the University of Music and Theatre in Hanover. She made her debut at the Schleswig- Holstein State Theatre in Rendsburg. Further stages of her career on the stage were the Stadttheater Bielefeld and the Theater am Neumarkt in Zurich. From 1976 to 2000 she was part of the Ensemble of the Berlin stage, since she is a freelancer. Since 2001, she has also worked as a director, including Stuttgart, Zurich, at the Berlin Renaissance Theatre and at the Hamburg Ernst German theater.

On the stage, she took numerous roles, including Celia in As You Like It (1977 ), Emmi Neither fish nor flesh by Franz Xaver Kroetz (1981 ), Natasha in Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov (1987) and Irene Herms in Arthur Schnitzler The lonely Way (1991).

Tina Engel appeared in several ambitious films. For her dramatic performance in Margarethe von Trotta's The Second Awakening of Christa Klages she received in 1978, the Film Award. In Volker Schlöndorff's film of the novel The Tin Drum, she embodied Oskar Matzeraths grandmother, who is hiding an arsonist under their skirts and impregnated it. On television, she is mostly seen in crime series.

At the Renaissance Theater Berlin Tina angel stands in November 2010, again as an actress in the premiere of " pipe dreams " by Lutz Hübner on stage.
