Tiro Federal

Tiro Federal ( formally Club Atlético Tiro Federal Argentino ) is a football club from Rosario, province of Santa Fe, Argentina.

History

The club was founded on March 29, 1905 and 1907 was one of the founding members of the amateur league of Rosario, which he won in 1920, 1925 and 1926. In 1944 Tiro Federal the Argentinian Football Association (AFA, Asociación del Fútbol Argentino ) at. In the next decades Tiro Federal mainly played in the second or third division, and had to descend financial difficulties even in the local league.

End of the 1990s, the businessman Carlos Davola took over the running of the club. Under his leadership, the rise Tiro Federals began. In the season 1998/99 they reached the second place in the Torneo Argentino B ( fourth-highest division) move up to the Torneo Argentino A.

Stadium

The club has its own stadium in the district Ludueña of Rosario, called Fortin de Ludueña ( Fortress of Ludueña ), but which does not meet the requirements for top-flight. Tiro Federal plays its home games therefore in the nearby town of Arroyo Seco in the stadium of Club Real in Arroyo Seco. For important games, the stadium of the Newell 's Old Boys will be used.
