Titãs

The Titãs are one of the most successful Brazilian punk rock bands ( eg other parameters Lamas do Sucesso Barao Vermelho or ), which were successful, particularly in Brazil in the 80s and 90s of the 20th century. Furthermore, they are popular in South America and also tried in Europe and North America to gain a foothold, but without success. At the moment they consist of the musicians: Paulo Miklos, Tony Bellotto, Branco Mello, Sérgio Britto and Charles Gavin. They were founded in 1981 in Sao Paulo.

Important albums

Your biggest sales success was the album Cabeça Dinossauro from 1986 dar. On this album they processed their experiences with the crisis that prevailed at this time in Brazil. In the song Policia they process as, for example, the arrest of the singer by unduly active in her eyes police.

Noteworthy is also her first work Titãs, which only had a circulation of 22,000, but they were then still far away from their present style of music.

History

The founding members met each other, for the most part, know at a school in Sao Paulo. When she founded in 1981 Titãs they first had to hoof it through various night clubs to keep their heads above water.
