Tlepolemus (general)

Tlepolemus ( Τληπόλεμος ), son of Pythonax, was an officer and Hetairos ( companion ) of Alexander the Great.

It was 330 BC, the satrap of Hyrcania and 325 BCE appointed himself ἐπίσκοπος (Overseer ) satrap of Carmania, as a successor to the Sibyrtios. In this province he was confirmed in both the imperial order of Babylon in 323 BC, as well as at the conference of Triparadeisos 320 BC. Tlepolemus Eumenes of Cardia joined in the fight against Antigonus Monophthalmos, however after the battle of Gabiene 316 BC was victorious. Nevertheless Tlepolemus was not discontinued due to its popularity with the locals Karmaniens even after the transfer of power to Antigonus Monophthalmos.
