Work programs

A key program of work TMForum is the development of TMForum Solution Frameworks - New Generation Operations Systems and Software ( NGOSS ) - a standard for operational support systems ( engl. Operations Support System).

NGOSS defines a general framework for business processes for the development and deployment of operational support systems to make them more flexible and easier. This NGOSS relies on the development of a system based on service-oriented architecture standards.

Results of NGOSS are not limited to:

  • Enhanced Telecom Operations Map ( eTOM ), a framework for the logical grouping of business processes for management systems of companies in the telecommunications and IT services
  • Shared Information & Data Model ( SID), a generic information and data model
  • Telecom Applications Map (TAM ), a standardized model to group functions and data in business applications and services of a telecommunications company
  • Technology Neutral Architecture (TNA ), a series of documents for the integration of the framework by harmonizing the architecture. Includes TMForum interfaces.
