History

TBS was founded in May 1951 as Radio Tōkyō (株式会社 ラジオ 東京, KRT) based in Chiyoda- ku in Tokyo. As of 25 December of the same year, the radio program was transmitted at 1130 kHz and 50 kW. In July 1953, the frequency was changed to 950 kHz.

In April 1955 we started with the analogue broadcasting of the television Jokr TV on channel 6 of Minato- ku in Tokyo.
