Tokyo College of Music

The Music Academy Tokyo (Japanese东京 音 楽 大学, Tōkyō Ongaku Daigaku ) in 1907 as Toyo Conservatory (东洋 音 楽 学校, Toyo Ongaku Gakko ) founded in the district of Kanda of the district Chiyoda Tokyo and is the oldest private college of music in Japan. It was in 1924 transferred to the district of Ikebukuro, after the original campus was destroyed by the Great Kanto Earthquake.
