The University of Agriculture and Technology Tokyo (Japanese东京 农 工 大学, Tōkyō Noko daigaku; engl Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, in short. Nōkōdai (农 工 大) or TUAT ) is a national university in Japan. The main campus is located in Fuchū in the prefecture of Tokyo.

History

The university was founded in 1949 by the merger of two state colleges. The two were the agricultural and forestry business school Tokyo (东京 农林 専 门 学校, Tōkyō Norin Semmon Gakko, in today's Fuchū - campus) and the Textile College Tokyo (东京 繊 维 専 门 学校, Tōkyō Sen'i Semmon Gakko, in today's Koganei Campus ).

Agriculture and Forestry Technical School Tokyo

The university has common origins with the Agricultural Faculty of the University of Tokyo and the University of Tsukuba. Textile College Tokyo
