Tom Delaney

Tom Delaney ( born September 14, 1889 in Charleston, South Carolina, † December 16, 1963 in Baltimore, Maryland) was an early American blues musician. His pieces were known mainly by other performers, although he himself has recorded his own title, as I'm Leavin ' Just to Ease My Worried Mind and Bow- Legged Mama ( both 1925).

In the 1920s, Delaney was marketed by music manager Joe Davis. Its success tracks this period include Sinful Blues, first published in 1923, Down Home Blues, in 1924 a hit for Ethel Waters, If I Lose, Let Me Lose, a success for Maggie Jones, and Troublesome Blues interpreted by Clara Smith.

Several compositions Delaney were never recorded, including Goopher Dust Blues, grievin mom and All the Girls Like Big Dick.
