Tom Rapp

Thomas Dale "Tom" Rapp ( born March 8, 1947 in Bottineau, North Dakota) is an American singer and songwriter. He became known as the frontman of the folk-rock band Pearls Before Swine.

Biography

At age six, Rapp wrote his first song. He has performed in talent contests; when he struck a young Bob Dylan. In the early 1960s drew Rapp's family to Melbourne in Florida. Here he founded in 1965 the band Pearls Before Swine.

After the first few albums were the original band members - except Rapp - leave the group, and Rapp played on albums with studio musicians one. From 1972, he published under his own name. For performances he presented a new version of Pearls Before Swine together.

Mid-1970 Rapp withdrew from the music business. He finished his studies and worked as a lawyer. In 1998, he appeared unexpectedly on stage again raised: Terra Stick Festival in Providence, Rhode Iceland, he accompanied the band Shy Camp his son Dave. Also on later editions of this festival he appeared again. 1999 reappeared an album of Tom Rapp.
