Tom Schuman

Tom Schuman ( born January 31, 1958 in Buffalo, New York ) is an American jazz and fusion pianist.

The father was a jazz bassist Wally Schuman, the mother Marion Schuman a jazz singer. Her first public performances with the band "The Existing Reality " and later with the jazz band " Birthright ". With this formation, Tom Schuman toured as a 16- year-old also through Europe on promo with the record Breath of Live. Since the founding of the fusion group Spyro Gyra Schuman was next to the founding member and pianist Jeremy Wall at jam sessions going from 1978 regular member, keyboardist and composer of Spyro Gyra. Schuman runs the production company "Jazz Bridge Music LLC " and " SchuBox Studios ". He has so far released six CD productions under his name.

Awards

Schuman received, inter alia, four Grammy Awards along with Spyro Gyra for albums Wrapped in a Dream, Good to Go -Go, A Night Before Christmas and Down the Wire.
