Tomas Alfredson

Tomas Alfredson ( born April 1, 1965 in Lidingö ) is a Swedish film director.

Biography

Alfredson, son of Swedish comedian Hans Alfredson and younger brother of Daniel Alfredson, worked as a television director since the late 1980s. So he turned 1994, the first eight episodes of the twelve -part television series Bert after the children's book series by Anders Jacobsson Bert's disasters and Sören Olsson and the following year under the title Bert - the siste oskulden a movie sequel.

His next feature film, the John le Carré adaptation Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy ( Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy ) with Gary Oldman in the lead role of MI6 agent George Smiley, who was nominated for an Oscar received, 2011, an invitation to compete in the 68th International Film Festival of Venice. In Germany the film was released in theaters on February 2, 2012.
