Tomas Sivertsson

Lars Thomas Sivertsson ( born February 21, 1965 in Halmstad ) is a Swedish handball coach and former handball player.

Career

Thomas Sivertsson began at Halmstad HP IF with the handball. In 1988 he played at HK Drott, with whom he was Swedish champion four times. In 2000, the 1.95 -meter circle runner in the Spanish league ASOBAL to BM Granollers. In 2001, he was the Danish first division club KIF Kolding under contract, first as a player and later as an assistant coach from 2008 to 2009 and as a coach. During his time KIF five times won the Danish championship. In the 2009/10 season Sivertsson coached the Polish club Wisła Płock. From October 2012 he was assistant coach of the Swedish women's national team. After Torbjörn Klingvall left office as head coach of the Swedish selection in December 2013 Sivertsson took office.

Thomas Sivertsson played 208 international matches for the Swedish national team, in which he scored 458 goals. He was with Sweden in 1999 World Champion and 1998, 2000 and 2002 European champion, and won at the Olympic Games in 1996 and 2000, the silver medal.
