Tomas Žvirgždauskas (2010)

Tomas Žvirgždauskas ( born March 18, 1975 in Vilnius ) is a former Lithuanian footballer. He played in Halmstad BK in the Fotbollsallsvenskan, the highest Swedish league.

Career

Žvirgždauskas began his career in the youth team of Zalgiris Vilnius VMFD, where he was brought into the first team in 1991. In his first season ( and the first in the Lithuanian championship history, after the collapse of the Soviet Union ) of the championship and the cup was brought. Three more national titles ( a championship, two Cup wins ) and the victory in the Baltic League 1993/94 followed, until he moved to Denmark to Næstved BK 1995. Already in the first season of the club from the highest Danish league had to dismount. He then returned for half a year to Zalgiris, before he moved in January 1997 to Poland Polonia Warsaw. After the runner-up title in 1999 could win the 2000 title. In 2001 he Cup triumph.

Then he left Warsaw and played one season at Widzew Łódź, where they reached the final table of the descent - play-off second place ( tenth overall ). 2002, then went to Sweden to Halmstad BK.
