Tomi Jurić

Tomislav " Tomi " Juric ( Croatian spelling: Tomislav Juric, * July 22, 1991 in Sydney) is an Australian- Croatian football player.

Career

Juric played at youth level of Sydney United, before joining 16 -year-old to Croatia to Croatia Sesvete. There, the striker scored in the 2010/11 season, his first in the adult population, 12 league goals in 23 events and was the top scorer of his team in the second HNL. The following season he played for NK Zagreb Lokomotiva in the first HNL, in summer 2012, he moved within the League to Inter Zaprešić. Juric came for Zaprešić in the first round only irregularly used and found during the winter break of the 2012/13 season in a training camp in Turkey with only one in five friendly matches into account. When he told his advisor that the Australian club Adelaide United is looking for a striker after the departure of Sergio van Dijk to Juric decided then after five years in Croatia to return to Australia.

In Adelaide he signed in February 2013 a short-term contract for the remaining season. Juric scored in his first two inserts each have a hit, but then remained in the following five matches without scoring, as Adelaide ultimately failed in the quarter -finals of the play-offs. For the 2013/14 season Juric signed a two -year contract with the Western Sydney Wanderers, where he meets with Mateo Poljak on a teammate from his time at Lokomotiva.

End of June 2013 Juric was surprisingly invited by coach Holger Osieck National in a training camp of the Australian national team and eventually also nominated for the East Asia Championship 2013. In the final round Juric came in the first game against the selection of South Korea ( Full 0-0) by later Substitutes for his international debut. In the second group match Juric came on and scored just minutes after coming off the bench in the 2:3 defeat against Japan the results for the interim 2:2.
