Tommy Bowe

Thomas John "Tommy" Bowe (born 22 February 1984 in Craigavon, Northern Ireland) is an Irish rugby union player who plays for the Ospreys and the Irish national team. It is used on the position of the outer three- quarter.

Bowe began at the age of seven years with the rugby and played in his childhood and Gaelic football. During the school years, he played for the selection of the Royal School Armagh as a goalkeeper, only in the Irish U21 national team, he moved to the position of the outer three- quarter. In the 2003 /04 season he was used by Ulster in the Magners League and put on his debut for the province equal a try. For the season 2008/ 09 he moved to the Welsh team Ospreys.

Bowe was the first time in November 2004 for Ireland against the United States on. He then dropped out due to injury for the Six Nations 2005. More injuries and form fluctuations meant that he was not considered for the squad for Ireland's World Cup 2007. However, in the following seasons, he became a fundamental part of the team and has played in all five games as the Grand Slam of the Irish in the Six Nations 2009.

On 21 April 2009, he was nominated by Ian McGeechan for the tour of the British and Irish Lions to South Africa. He came in all three games in the series are used.
