Ton Schulten

Ton Schulten ( born April 25, 1938 in Ootmarsum ) is a Dutch painter.

Before devoting himself to painting, he was adman. At the beginning of 1990 he gave up this profession. He was tired of playing " Manager". This had its own sense of the actual creativity that was associated with his job, dissuaded him. His style is reminiscent of expressionism. He describes his work as unique. This was from the beginning Schultens intention. He wanted to paint like no one else had painted. His paintings he builds with thick "bars" at. Ton Schulten was mainly known for his landscape mosaics.

He uses various means to make exciting and unique his works. First, this reflects a special atmosphere, which, inter alia, with an unique depth effect. The eye is always drawn to the center of the image. This usually is the sun or the moon, and the colors are getting darker outside.
