Tonight's the Night is the sixth studio album released in 1975 by Neil Young. In 2003, the album was recorded by Rolling Stone at number 331 in the list of " 500 greatest albums of all time".

General

How On the Beach was Tonight's the Night at the date hereof not a commercial success, but over time reached a high regard. The album was produced deliberately very simple and unpolished.

The album was recorded in 1973, the most titles in a single day, August 26th. The publication was delayed two years.

The title, " Come on Baby Let's Go Downtown" was recorded live in March 1970 with Crazy Horse. A detailed recording of the concert was released in 2006 under the title Live at the Fillmore East CD.
