Tonino Picula

Tonino Picula ( born August 31, 1961 in Mali Lošinj) is a Croatian politicians.

Life

Tonino Picula studied sociology at the University of Zagreb. He is a member of Socijaldemokratska partija Hrvatske. From 2000 to 2003 he was Minister of Foreign Affairs of Croatia, from 2003 he was a member of the Croatian Parliament, next 2005-2009 Mayor of Velika Gorica.

Before Croatia's EU membership, he was sent as an observer to the European Parliament by the Croatian Parliament. In the European elections in Croatia in 2013 he was elected to the European Parliament. He then resigned his seat in the Croatian Parliament.
