European Parliament election, 2013 (Croatia)

The first European elections in Croatia was held on 14 April 2013. Subject to the ratification of the accession treaty by the current members of the European Union (see Croatia's accession negotiations with the European Union) occurs in Croatia on 1 July 2013 the European Union. From this time Croatia is represented by the 12 newly elected members of the European Parliament. Until the regular European elections 2014, bringing the total number of Members of the European Parliament increased to 766, to sink again to the contracted 751 seats after the next election in 2014.

For the first time found a European election held in a country that was not yet an EU member. For previous accessions, the election to the European Parliament always shortly after the accession had been (or at the first EU enlargement in 2004 not because of the upcoming pan-European choice anyway ) held.
