TOPSIS

TOPSIS ( Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) is a technique for solving decision problems and to improve efficiency analysis in the field of Operations Research ( Operations Research ). The aim of this technique is to determine the relative advantage of alternatives. A situation that can be applied for example in the TOPSIS, the purchase of a car.

General description of TOPSIS

TOPSIS was of C.-L. Hwang and K. Yoon developed. The advantages of an alternative, it is judged by each of the distance to the best alternative, and the distance is determined to worst alternative. With these intervals, a value is calculated for each alternative, which provides information on the advantages of this alternative.
