Tor Fuglevik

Goal Fuglevik ( born April 7, 1950 in Kristiansand ) is a Norwegian journalist and media manager.

Life

Fuglevik is a graduate of the Norwegian School of Journalism and the University of Oslo.

1971 Fuglevik began his work at the NRC as a radio news reporter. In 1976, he got a senior position at the Norwegian Ministry of Justice. When NRK Fuglevik held several positions as Regional Manager and Radio General. In the last position, he founded the world's first to air only on DAB broadcaster NRK Klassisk which became operational on 1 June 1995. From 2002 to 2006 he was Chief Executive Officer of Norges Televisjon.

From 2004 to 2010 he was a board member of the Norwegian Language Council. Also Fuglevik was a member of several committees of the European Broadcasting Union.

Currently, Fuglevik director of the Norwegian branch of the Modern Times Group.

He is the author of several books on the subject of radio and broadcasting.

Awards

In 2008 Fuglevik received the Prix Radio prize for his contributions to the development of the Norwegian radio.
