Torben Hoffmann ( born October 27, 1974 in Kiel ) is a German sports reporter and former football player.

Career

Association

The trained police officers began his football career at TuS black and white Elmschenhagen. In the season 1993/94 he played in Holstein Kiel in the third-tier Oberliga Nord and was able to qualify the team for the new Regionalliga Nord. There he was one year to the levy of Kiel. Until 1995, he played 49 games for Holstein, scoring five goals.

In 1995 he moved to the then second division side VfB Lübeck. Until 1997, he played 54 games for the Lübeck and thereby scored a goal. In the DFB-Pokal, he was used twice and was able to score a goal.

After the descent of VfB he joined in the summer of 1997, the SC Freiburg. With the Breisgauern he succeeded in 1998, the promotion to the Bundesliga. He stayed for another season at SC Freiburg before he left the club in the summer of 1999. In Freiburg, Hoffmann was used 53 times in the league and was able to score four goals in the DFB Cup he came on three missions.

From July 1999 to December 2000 he was in the Bundesliga squad of Bayer 04 Leverkusen. There he played 19 times. In addition, he met five times in the DFB Cup and twice in the League Cup for use, he played three times in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup. In 2000 he was runner-up with Bayer.

For the second half of the season 2000 /01 he moved to league rivals TSV 1860 Munich. By the summer of 2004, he was used 92 times and once came to scoring. In the DFB-Pokal, he was six times used, once he played in the Intertoto Cup.

After the descent of the Sechzger he left in the summer of 2004 the club direction Eintracht Frankfurt, which was also relegated from the Bundesliga. At the end of the season the concord of immediate back in the Bundesliga. In the season 2004/ 05 Hoffmann had come 29 times for Eintracht used and had scored four goals. In addition, he played three times in the DFB Cup.

However, Hoffmann remained in the 2nd Bundesliga and joined again the Munich Lions. There he came to 132 inserts and ten goals in the Bundesliga 2 and twelve games in the DFB Cup by summer 2010. His last game for the 1860, he played on 9 May 2010 against Union Berlin. Before the game, he was officially adopted after nine seasons in Munich.

It was followed by the change to the third division side SpVgg Unterhaching, where he signed a one year contract, which he fulfilled as team captain.

Hoffmann came to two inserts in the A2- selection of the DFB.

Torben Hoffmann is married and has two daughters.
