Torigni-sur-Vire
Torigni -sur- Vire is a commune with 2362 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Manche in Basse-Normandie region. It belongs to the district of Saint- Lô and Canton Torigni -sur- Vire. Old spellings of the name are Thorigny, Thorigni and Torigny. The suffix " -sur- Vire " dates from 1849, with the Vire the place does not actually touch.
Neighboring municipalities are: Saint- Amand in the north and east, Giéville in the south and in the west Brectouville and Condé- sur- Vire.
