Tornado Luxembourg Luxembourg is a hockey club, taking part in the play mode of the French Division 3 of the 2005 /06 season. The club was founded in 1987 plays its home matches at the 1,000 -seat Patinoire de Kockelscheuer.

History

Tornado Luxembourg succeeded in his debut season 1987/88 as Runner-up in qualifying to participate in the then- fourth-class Regional Center in the play mode of the Federal Republic of Germany. In the 1988/89 season, the Luxemburger participated for the first and only time in the game operation of the Regional middle part, but immediately went eighth in the Rhineland -Palatinate league from where they played until 2005. Thereupon, the club joined the French league system, in which they compete since then in the fourth division Division 3. The 1b takes some years again participate in the Regional Rhineland -Palatinate.

Current President is Monique Scheier, which is also active in Organisationscommitée the IIHF.

For the 2009/10 season the team has access to a total of 26 players, among which are also the leading scorer and reigning national player Robert Beran and Benny Welter are. The gate is guarded in this season of goalie Gilles Mangen.

Due to the small number of Luxembourg Hockey Teams represents Tornado Luxembourg in international tournaments of the national always a large part of the players. From the squad for the D - World Cup 2009, Tornado Luxembourg total of eight players.
