Luxembourg national ice hockey team

The Luxembourg national ice hockey team represents Luxembourg in international tournaments and is currently the 43rd place in the IIHF World Ranking ( current standings after the World Cup 2012).

Although the Luxembourg Hockey Association is since 1912 a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation ( IIHF ), the national team in 1992 took part in a World Cup. Since 2002, Luxembourg takes part in the world championships, mostly in the lowest Division III. She is currently coached by Sweden Joakim Eriksson. Some of the players is for teams from Canada, Finland, France and Germany on the ice, the rest, including Captain Ronny Scheier, made ​​up of players from the clubs Luxembourg Tornado Luxembourg, which currently plays in the third French division, together.
