Lithuania national ice hockey team
The Lithuanian national ice hockey team of men led after the World Cup 2012 in the IIHF World Ranking at number 25 and plays at the World Championships in Division I. The project is organized by the Lithuanian National Hockey Association.
In 1995, the team qualified for the first time for a Ice Hockey World Championship, a medal, the team could not win, however, until now. At the Olympic Games, the Lithuanian national team has never participated.
At the 2009 World Championships, the team finished fourth in the discharged in Vilnius Group A of Division I. The home advantage did not translate to a better placement than last year.
Since 2012, the German Bernd Haake is coach of Lithuania.
