Torsten Hiekmann

Torsten Hiekmann ( born March 17, 1980 in Berlin ) is a former racing driver who Gerolsteiner was in the years 2006 and 2007 the team under contract.

Between 2001 and 2005 he drove for the German team T -Mobile, in front of the Berlin cycling team. The 1,80 m tall and 67 kilograms cyclists took two each time on the Giro d' Italia and Vuelta in the Spanish part.

On 7 February 2008 Torsten Hiekmann announced that he would end his career because he sees in the current situation of cycling no future for themselves. He operates in Jena since the studio " height Fitness " in which mountaineers and athletes can complete a high-altitude training. As a hobby he still operates cycling and playing hockey for the " Erfurt coyotes ".
