Torsten Laen (* November 26, 1979 in Odense, Denmark ) is a Danish handball player. He is 1.98 m tall.

Laen, who plays for the Danish club KIF Kolding and accrued for the Danish national team, is almost always used as a circular rotor.

Career

Torsten Laen was discovered in 1999, when he was still playing handball team at the University of Odense, and commissioned by the Danish top club GOG Svendborg Gudme under contract. First Laen remained enrolled at the University and graduated with a Bachelor in Sports from, only then he concentrated on the professional handball.

With Gudme he won in 2000, 2004 and 2007, the Danish Championship and 2002, 2003 and 2005 Danish Cup. In 2007 he joined the top Spanish club BM Ciudad Real. With Ciudad Real, he won the 2008 Spanish Cup, the Spanish Cup, the Spanish Super Cup, the Copa ASOBAL and the EHF Champions League. In 2009, he won again with Ciudad Real the Cup and the EHF Champions League. From 2009 to 2013 Torsten Laen played for the Foxes Berlin in the Handball - Bundesliga. Then he wechselter for Danish first division club KIF Kolding.

Torsten Laen has been contested 152 matches for the Danish national team. At the European Championships ( EC ) 2002 and the 2004 European Championships he won the bronze medal with Denmark, respectively. At the World Cup in Germany in 2007, he belonged only to the advanced contingent of Danes.
